The aircraft crash, the Belarusian authorities: The suspension was accomplished because of a Hamas threat

On Monday, Belarusan authorities claimed that the reason for Ryan-Air's flight flight flight deviation with the destination of Lithuania was because they had received a message from the Palestinian group Hamas' militants who threatened to blow up an Athens-bound flight unless the European Union condemned [...] attacks.
Belarus's Minister of Transport Artem Sicors stated that in the message received stated: We, Hamas soldiers ask for a halt to the Gaza bombings, we demand that the European Union stop supporting Israel and if these demands are not met a bomb will explode aboard a Ryan Air flight over Vilnius.
The Belarusian authorities' statements came after the international sentence, which was handed down to Athens' flight to Lithuania, on which was also the dissident Belarusian journalist Roman Protasevic. The European Union, the US and Great Britain strongly condemned the deviation of flight by the Belarusian authorities and Protasevic's arrest.
European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen said the unprecedented behaviour of the Belarus regime would have consequences. Brussels confirmed the news that it has called for clarification EU Ambassador Aleksander Miknevic to seek the release of the banned journalist.
Meanwhile, Lithuanian Police chief said on Monday that five passengers aboard Ryan Aire, who went astray from Belarusn warplanes, failed to reach their destination. A university in the Lithuanian capital, Vilnius, announced that one of the students -- Sofia Sapega, 23, who was traveling alongside journalist Protasevic -- was forced to land in Minks. University has requested its immediate release
