High Commander of the Islamic Jihad Hussam Abu Harbeed was killed Monday at the Gaza Strip, Israeli Defence Forces said.
Abu Harbeed, led the attacks against Israeli soldiers and civilians for nearly 15 years, the military said in a statement.
Israeli military said it “was behind several terrorist attacks with antitank missiles against Israeli civilians”.
The Islamic Jihad group often works together with Hamas' rulers in Gaza, and their arms are closely tied. /tch
