The leader of this party, Ramush Haradinaj, has said that even as an opposition party, they will fulfill the obligation to Kosovo when national interest topics are at stake, Klan Kosova reports.
In power or in opposition, for us always Kosovo remains the top priority. At the Alliance's chairmanship meeting, we discussed the political and economic situation in the country and preparations for the upcoming municipal elections. As an opposition party, we will carry out our commitment to the question of dialogue, as we have pledged to the citizens of the country, always in defense of national interests. At today's meeting, we reiterated the necessity of the leading role of the United States of America in this very important process for our country, from which we expect mutual recognition, with binding legal agreements, on existing borders and the invisibility of the internal constitutional organisation of the Republic of Kosovo”.
As for economic themes, Haradinaj has said that the assessment of his party experts is that the Government should take concrete and quick action in supporting businesses, full opening of the economy, and decisions that halt deepening the trade deficit in the country, which, according to him, is increasing every day and more.
Our “concern today was also the announced suspension of capital investment memorandums in municipalities, which the country's citizens will suffer from. While 11m euros have been earmarked for electricity in the north, the decision this unnecessary because we now enjoy energy independence would be a major mistake for the government if funds are cut for the municipalities”.
Haradinaj has also talked about preparations the AAK has made for municipal elections.
“As far as domestic organisation of the party is concerned, we heard today the report of how far the Alliance's preparations for municipal elections have reached. In the meantime, our governing plan for Kosovo municipalities is close to finalising, which is based on the needs of citizens. The alliance is convinced of a good outcome in this election and we believe that the high assessment of our municipal governance in Suhareka, Rahovec, Obilic, Decani, Junik, Gjakova and Kline are a solid basis for victory in the upcoming” elections.
“We target victory in many other Kosovo municipalities, where we have presented very serious candidacy. The alliance enters these municipal elections, with a balanced representation of well-trained politicians, experts, professionals, from different age groups, but also Quadros who are challenged for the first time in the 1992-1991 election race.
