According to him, the main cause is to reduce cases, but also to open the summer season already.
It is a fact that it is an increase in an influx of travelers over the last few days, as we know Albania is the main destination for all of us from Kosovo, because we have strong ties to the country. Of course it's an increase because this positive trend that's happening is also the cause of opening or even reducing recent cases from the pandemic, but also approaching the normal summer season that many of us want to spend vacations on the coast”, Hoti said.
“Lines are being held, and they are registered there are more travelers interested in Albania so during summer days this trend is larger compared to last year. We are still not in a situation that we are used to seeing as usual where we see the organisation of seasonal lines by various companies, but many carriers have started to organise numerous lines at numerous tourist sites”, he told EO.
As a result of the pandemic, there are 30% less lines compared to last year at the bus station in Pristina.
And “as far as different periods are concerned, I can say that as a result of the pandemic, we have a fall in lines compared to last year, we generally have about 30% less lines because all lines held by self-transporters are regular and issued lines. Although the lines have been maintained, again as a cause of pandemic the number of travelers has been very small, and therefore the transport sector has been quite hit”, he added.
Touching the pandemic, cancellation of lines are some of the difficulties the bus station has been affected, thus affecting the failure to implement plans and cover expenses.
Even the bus station is affected by the pandemic, from the abort of the lines, and we haven't worked, and we've had an impact on the company's revenues because we haven't been able to realise the goals we've had in business plan, in help we've had Pristina's municipality with the granting of grants to cover expenses for at least two months. Our company still has high wages for workers because it is a slightly larger number than the company that needs workers, but it is good that we are able to provide jobs for those in need of”, he told EO.
Hoti points out that difficulties have also taken place by active cases with Covid-19 of the employees of this company, and from the entire income pandemics have been very small with about 30% less.
We've had a lot of workers who've been affected, I can tell that over 40% of the workers who've been affected because some of them are also affected by family members, and we've had a lot of difficulties, and we still have, since it's known that the bus station works continuously, only for the company to be functional”
Incomes are much smaller than we planned, we have access to about 30% less than we planned, but fortunately 2019 has been successful and helped us overcome the financial crisis”, Hoti said.
Hoti eventually hopes that government measures are on the right track and that gradually, in total, they will open up to recover all the damaged sectors.
The government measures indirectly touch us, so we're not on a lonely island, so the revenues we make from our own revenues. I believe with government-made measures I believe they're on the right track and I gradually believe we'll be able to open up, and all sectors will recover as soon as they can, and that's over for EO.
