Besides Qorroll, for Constitutional Courts, Havana Buyipaj-Ismajli, Shukri Sylejmani, Julbeare Murati, Hashim Colak, Hilmi Jashari, Valbona Shala-Thaqi, Visar Morina, Haxhi Xhemajli, Zef Prerecaj and Ramadan Gashi run.
This is not the first attempt by the Corroll to become a court in the Constitution. The last time he failed to do so, he charged that some candidates were politically favoured.
“Politics has favoured several candidates, in front of some others, by not allowing the free deputies to vote with their consciences and to vote the best people on the basis of their CV, has caused the Constitutional Court to hurt more than it has hurt”, Qorroll said at RTV Duggjini in August 2018.
He said MPs were obliged to vote in favour of party supporters in the government, while this time he might have to hope for the same.
I tried to be a bipartisan candidate, to convince all political parties that I am the most independent candidate of all. I did not succeed because MPs were not allowed to vote freely, and power parties have made deals to vote their favourite candidates”, Qorroll said.
In the attempt of the first three years, he had received at least a vote (6) in the Kosovo Assembly, failing to become the Constitutional Court.
