Adnan Rrutemi from this party has said that “this is a change but is harmonisation with Article 70 of the Constitution of Kosovo.
“We have been convinced that the CEC's decision to prevent Hadzi's Kurt from running has been unfair. We haven't made any changes, except we've got an article on the constitution that talks about limiting the situation when the MP loses his mandate. It is complete in this paragraph that says that people sentenced to one year and more imprisonment in the last three years cannot run. The constitution finds that such a one loses the” mandate, he said in interactive.
Otherwise, in the February 14th election, Vetevendosje's list were not allowed to include several candidates for MPs based on the final act of Constitutional Court, which was prohibited from running convicted persons for criminal acts with firm verdicts in the last three years.
