Pacolli and his company, Mabetex Group, will build Vlora Airport in co-operation with the Yda Group company. This union of two registered companies in Switzerland has been announced on March 5th by the Albanian company and will invest a total of 104m euros in construction of this airport.
Balluk: It'll be category 4th, so the highest and best in the country.
We're going to have the aircraft and cargo maintenance sector, we don't have the first one in Albania and it's going to boost development in the country. Establishing the Civil aviation Academy will be another step we take.
So the Vlora airport, with the track over 3km, and the cargo will mark a new step on Albanian aviation.
Vlora Airport has been designed as a capture and entry gate on the Albanian coast.
It will open up huge investment opportunities in the tourist sector. Work will begin within 14 months, it is an airport that will be established according to all European criteria, as well as an archaeological study, then 8 months will be available for specific creations and making it.
Masterplane.
These are the maximum deadlines of the law, but we'll try to close it as soon as possible.
In the first phase involving construction of the passenger terminal, its second phase ends after the 4th year of operations.
Vlora Airport will not only have direct injections of 100m euros into the economy, but also indirect, in employment and so on.
Pacolli: I have the honor today, which is as a direct part of this work, of this consortium, this contract has the very significance that it happens after a while, and the desire that I have had to do here.
Vlora is an extremely good case for me and my partners. I thank Rama for carefully following the jobs the company has done and it certainly is not the case for this to be trusted in my company.
We will be proud of this work we do, the place where my head is heavy, which I do for my people and the people who contributed to European Albania. We're gonna make it, and there's nothing left to do but start the job.
Rama: Believe me that this is a very important moment for me that the vaccine, that it gives me the opportunity to smile after a long attempt with numerous obstacles, how many Belinda knows that at a certain moment I told her there was a curse, somebody cursed this project, how much we chose one thing, there was another thing, a story to be made a book, since we started a negotiations with the consortium that made Istanbul airport, but in the end who does business doesn't know how big his volume is, but will know how much of their winning and we concluded that their offer was appropriate.
And then I prepared to go out in an open international race and we had a lot of interest from known companies, and we were pretty convinced that we would have a race with multiple operators and we would have a good thing, but when the race was in progress, the virus fell, and it closed the world.
And now the airport industry is the hardest hit by this, and the operators sent us a message to suspend the race, and it was done.
And so we're out of the process, but things always happen for a reason.
The coincidence is the sword by which the necessity moves the way, it has been said that a special Albanian, will be saved all of this and give Vlora the much desired airport.
With Basca Behgjet we're a lot of friends, but it didn't make the way of a phone call with me to tell me I wanted to deal with it, but it entered the race without telling anyone anything and won it with a consortium of all capacity.
What I mean here without his permission, in all the races made in Albania, is the consortium that has presented funding to the bloc, so today the contract is 100 percent financed, I am pleased, and this is personal, Baca has dreamed, an obsession to do in Albania a job that has his name.
He's never come to me or anyone, the only thing with Baca I've talked to, and with his way of keeping things inside, he said how sʹmu gave me the opportunity to do anything in Albania.
He tried it once with the Hotel Day, and probably if he had been better received then and if he had returned it as he wanted it, it would have been a first challenger for tourism in the country.
He lost the motive of looking for something and things came this way and it's the right place with the right man to do something fantastic about the country and to do something to dream and dream, like a great patriot. / TCH
