Orders Vjosa Osmani received from Sejdiu, Pacolli, and Jahjaga

Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani has hosted the former presidents, Fatmir Sejdiu, Behgjet Pacolli and Atifete Jahjaga at the meeting.

The first of the state said it has invited the former presidents to create new culture of consultation and respect for memory and institutional tradition.

 “I have invited all three to build a new institutional culture of respect for memory and institutional tradition. This is necessary if we want our country to move forward by teaching those who have served the State, both this institution and other institutions at different times. And to build a new model of continued consultation with former presidents, especially on issues that are of national interest, the welfare of our citizens to learn from their experience. We constantly join our forces to solve the problems our citizens face, she said.

Osman's election to the head of state praised him as a good solution, former president Fatmir Sejdiu, who also called for institutional co-operation with the president's institution with the Kosovo Assembly and Government.

 I think it's a good choice. Of course Kosovo is now and how long it is under trial in the election processes, but has received the support of the country's highest institution. That responsibility taken will materialise with constant, successful activities and in behalf of the country... to work towards deep institutional co-operation with the country's institutions. With parliament, government and other institutions and civil society”, he said.

While the first former woman president in Kosovo, Atifete Jahjaga said Osman is the right choice for citizens, and especially for advancing the woman's role in Kosovo.

 You are continuing an extremely good tradition of consulting and co-ordinating even with former presidents. This is also the function of the country's president. You are the right choice at the right time for Kosovo and the citizens of Kosovo, especially for the wife of Kosovo, we have much work to do together”, she said.

Supporting Osman offered the other former president, Behgjet Pacolli.

 “I am happy that Kosovo has a dignified representation and we will stand back with our power, what we know and what we can. One is sure that will and desire is not missing”, he stated.

This is the second week since Vjosa Osmani has taken office in the country's president, after receiving the necessary votes in the Kosovo Assembly.
