The man in his 60 ' s had been married more than once and had children, according to a statement read by the broadcaster NRK.
However, according to his neighbors, he was alone, and after not having seen him, he thought that he had moved to another residence. He was found only when the janitor asked the police to open the apartment to do cleaning work.
Police believe the man had died April 2011, based on the milk package and the paper found at the flat. The autopsy showed that he had died of the puzzle [natural things].
His pension was banned in 2018 when the Labour and Goodness Administration [ NAV could not contact him, but bills were automatically paid through the bank account.
Oslo police inspector Grete Lien Metlid told the NRK that she and her colleagues had thought a lot about how someone could be dead for so long without anyone missing.
