Adopted by the assembly at the end of March, the measure enables considerable reinforcement of the armed forces, at the time of the transition of tensions with Russia to eastern Ukraine, Reuters writes, Report Express broadcast.
This will enable all military units to be met quickly with militias, increasing to a large extent the combat efficiency during military aggression”, the Ukrainian presidency's announcement said.
On Tuesday, Ukraine's president invited his Russian counterpart, Vladimir Putin, to meet in the Donbas region for talks in order to end the conflict in that area and reduce tensions between the two neighbouring countries.
Ukraine, its Western allies and NATO have accused Russia of provocation through the gathering of troops in occupied crime and near Ukraine's eastern border. On the other hand, Russia has accused the United States and NATO of provocative activities in the Black Sea region.
