It is said that a photograph is worth a thousand words”, and this photographer used images to tell the history of the people of this country in the most difficult period.
He has seized several moments of Kosovo refugees who were on their way to Macedonia at the end of March.
This picture, more than anything else, shows the fate of children in war, that they take upon themselves the responsibilities and pain that in normal circumstances should be kept out of sight. Under the circumstances of that time, they become a character of painful fate. This picture shows a little girl sitting right next to her mother and trying to comfort her.
Regarding this photograph, author Testa had written that the photo was fired when refugees stopped to rest after crossing Macedonia via railway route. The photograph was taken on March 31, 1999.
Serbia's “soldiers had forced them to leave the train and confiscated the passports of men and ID cards. A young woman tries to comfort her mother”, written on the picture description. /Kultlapus
