Totaj: Three arrested for fraud are close to local governance in Prizren

The chairman of the Kosovo Democratic Party branch in Prizren, Shacir Totaj, has said the three suspects are close people with local governance in Prizren, led by Mytaher Haskuka by the Vetevendosje Movement.

“We have constantly informed the opinion of a continuing Prizren rule since the Vetevendosje Movement has come to rule with Mytaher Haskuka. What has happened in the last three years, there has been a continuing degradation, and in recent days we have had an act of Haskuca where all parties have left their offices”, Totaj told Klan Kosova.

According to Totaj, Haskuka is taking these actions in order to hide because of his ill-governance in Prizren.

“As far as corruption is concerned, we have warned many cases; but the last case that has occurred in recent days, a business that has received a 1.4m-euro tender, is a business whose owners are close to local governance”.

This business has once received eight tenders so far. This is an indicator of how a business manages to receive eight tenders I don't believe it's random”.

Totaj has added that if a business reaches eight tenders, it is an indicator that there has been manipulating action.

The fact that the prosecution has arrested three people indicates that Haskuka has failed to stop corruption” is the case.

“Hakka has also lost his party's confidence, because we have a warning for another VV candidate for Prizren”, Totaj said.
