It had been exactly AV ONET, who had discovered that the 1.34m-euro tender involving the installation and repair of existing public lighting in Prizren's municipality had won a company with illegal documents.
“The Founding Procurory has acted in harmony with its obligations and tasks and has also taken the necessary measures that our findings have taken to base and acted in harmony with the law and at the same time have arrested suspects we have made public our findings that Avonet has considered to be physical documents and here have managed to benefit the tender of millions to take adequate measures, and for this reason it is one of the reports that we have requested by Prizren's basic prosecution and the State Prosecutor who took the appropriate measures of<1> in Kosovo has said.
Gashi said they had encountered a non-real document during the investigation and have verified it through the Kosovo Tax Agency.
We have addressed that question and request to the relevant institutions to prove where the document is original and we have found it to be a fictional document, it's not registered to the buyer, nor to the seller”.
“Already Prizren's founding prosecutor has taken the right action but we have not yet seen the Prizren municipality's reflection specifically towards the operator with which he has met the criterion with false documents that he has put the Prizren municipality to waste, but has also forged documents”.
Gashi said the Prizren municipality has problems about setting criteria, and expressed again doubts that some tenders are granted to the relatives or recommended by the municipal institution.
“We have seen that the Prizren municipality has serious problems about their assignment and orientation prior to setting criteria”.
We've always had allegations that tenders are often prepared for individuals assigned to the Prizren municipality, that's why we've started research and monitoring some of the procurement activities and we've encountered that some procurement activities are directly associated with people who are close or trying to give tenders to people who recommend the municipality”.
