The municipalities have been asked to keep a close on non - essential activities, including swimming pools and sports centres, until April 18th.
Restaurants and cafes will have to close at 20:30, whether they sell alcohol or not, until May 3rd, the ATS reports.
Initially, a certain ease of the restrictions was scheduled to begin on April 11th.
The Public Health Agency said the day before, in a memorandum for the government, that it would be preferable to wait until May 3rd, provided the charges of cases drop sufficiently.
The health authority warned that the number of infections is increasing in most of the country, presenting an additional burden on the health system.
