The epilogue of the recent criminal confrontation, in which Zoran Ashan was killed in Mojkovac, is the arrest of suspects and police associates and informing police that members of the Kavac criminal clan planned to kill Abbasovici because of the recent arrest of one of their bosses, Slobodan Kashcelan.
Abazovic has been guarded by special forces since yesterday, and he has not wanted to comment on everything related to this criminal clash and threats to him, writes Vijesti, broadcast newspaper Express.
The paper reports that in the area of wiretaps, police found that arrested Goran Pantovic (43) said in a conversation with a member of the Kavac criminal clan: “When we kill (Zoran) Ashhan, then we'll finish the job (Dritian) Abazovich because he was arrested chief”
It has been declared that the conversations are in the possession of police, and the plan to liquidate Abazovic allegedly was admitted to inspectors by one of those arrested by this criminal group.
Pantovic, a suspect in the murder of Ashhanin (65) in Mojkovac, was arrested yesterday.
According to unofficial information from Vijesti, behind information about the possible threat of security service co-ordinator, Abbasovic was moved away expressly from Herceg Novi on Sunday, where he was on an official visit.
Goran Pantovic did not want to talk about Ashhan's murder yesterday in front of senior prosecutor Milica Rmak.
Prosecutor Rma persecuted told Vijesti that the suspect protected himself in silence, after which he ordered his detention. Velimir Ljujic (66), suspected of helping Pantovic after the assassination, was also detained.
He claimed to the State High Prosecutor that he knew nothing about liquidating his fellow citizens and that he had only taken Pantovic to a settlement.
The suspect in killing the motel owner Mojkovac “Krstac” was arrested at a restaurant in the village of Kovren.
Because of information that Kavaci's people are planning liquidating Deputy Prime Minister Abazovic has been preserved by special forces armed with long-term barrels since Sunday.
The Podgorica daily recalls that Abazovic was threatened by the Kavac criminal clan even after parliamentary elections in 2020, after he refused to meet with them.
