The Court of Appeals on June 30th 2020 had partially changed the first degree act in the case “Proto” and had convicted Ademi Grabovcin, Ilhami Gashi and Sedat Gashi.
They were suspected of criminal action “The violation of equal status of citizens and residents of the Republic of Kosovo”.
In the Supreme Court's decision provided by the Express newspaper, which was taken on April 19th, the institution has approved the indictees' requests for the protection of legitimacy and the case has turned into retrial.
The case was confirmed by Adem Grabovci's lawyer, Florent Latifaj.
This court has changed the Constitutional Court. These have been found guilty and the Supreme Court has again submitted the plea of legitimacy to the Appeal Court”, said in its response.
And Supreme Court spokeswoman Antigona Uka-Loffiou confirmed to Express that the case was turned into retrial.
I can confirm that with the request for protection of legitimacy, the subject in the A.G. case has returned to the retrial”, Antigona Uka-Loffiu said.
