MP PDK, Ferat Shala, has a request for Kosovo Government.
Shala through a post has asked the government to release the diaspora from paying for PCR tests for COVID-19.
According to the PDK deputy, the exiles deserve the support of the state of Kosovo, because they are the most painful part of our society and at the same time the layer that has made irrefutable and indirect contributions to the state development in all its phases.

The diaspora release their payments for PCR tests for COVID19! ? We're already used to the populism of the government led by Prime Minister Kurti for the love and respect of our diaspora. There would be nothing wrong with it and it would be considered right and necessary if it were sincere. Our exiles deserve the support of the state of Kosovo, because they are the most painful part of our society and at the same time the layer that has made irrefutable and indirect contributions to the development of the state in all its phases. However, the reality and concrete actions that have so far been undertaken by Kurti Government for the diaspora speak otherwise and leave much to be desired. Let's remind ourselves that it was Prime Minister Kurti, the first time he came to power with the Kurti government 1, that without any explanation and reasoning, remove the Ministry of Diaspora's structure as the only institution and mechanism that directly connected Kosovo to the exile.
Maybe Kurt through this action was meant to cut off communication with the diaspora through institutional lines and continue them through party lines to exploit party exiles for party purposes and not for state lines. Now when he came back to power for the second time, again in the name of false love for the diaspora running and urgently insisting on changing the law on elections, enabling the diaspora to vote on the consulates because it had the electoral promise. Even this action by many was seen as a move that suits his party more than the state of Kosovo itself, because the Law on Elections requires a broader concession and other radical changes of interest to the country, and not only those dealing with voting by the diaspora. So even in this case, Prime Minister Kurti sees the diaspora as only a “footbar of votes”, not a value of the state of Kosovo and an integral part of it. If Prime Minister Kurt really wants to be honest with the exiles and support them, he can make full of other simple and appropriate actions before they are fined and robbed every time they come to Kosovo with 35 euro payments on behalf of the test PCR for COVIID 19, with the obligation to pay these tests when they go back through the international airport “Adem Jashari”.
Prime Minister, if you and your government really love and respect the exiles arrange for the diaspora for PCR tests 19 through the National Institute of Public Health at the International Airport “Adem Jashari”, or take over paying these tests under the Government's budget. The move would be the minimum the prime minister and the government could currently do for the diaspora in this emergency phase they are going through in the face of pandemic. Our diaspora deserves more than populist promises and exploitation for party interests. We owe them a lot and the payment release for PCR tests for COVID 19, though symbolic, would be a signal that the state of Kosovo is really taking care of their interests.
