Serbia forces' 26-year-old tomb was found at Muslim cemetery in Mitrovica

Today, at the cemetery of martyrs and martyrs in Shipol, Mitrovica, the last farewell was given to Selahed Mehmet, who was killed by Serb forces during the last war in Kosovo.

He was 26-year-old and was identified as missing until a few days ago when his remains were identified at the Muslim cemetery in northern Mitrovica.

Bajram Cerkini, chairman of the Association of Un finders in Mitrovica, has criticised institutions for not working enough in this direction.

According to him, in this way the feelings of the missing family are being hurt, while the total number of 115 persons found in Mitrovica are confirmed.

It's hard to talk after 21 years when we say today one, two or five were found, and where, not two kilometers from here. It means our lack of business, our non-serious work, I mean the state of the Republic of Kosovo, but in myself, because we haven't worked enough to whiteen the fate of the dead, which isn't working today, there is no political will. There are currently 115 missing persons in Mitrovica”, Cerkini said.

Lutfije Mehmeti, the mother of the late Selahed Mehmeti, expressed happiness that she said, after 22 years she has managed to meet her son.
