The joint commission, the body that brings together existing signatories of the agreement, will meet virtually Friday to discuss the results of Monday's meetings amid increased optimism for an unexpected progress.
In a statement Thursday, the EU said the joint commission would meet.
Donald Trump unilaterally had withdrawn the United States in 2018 from the agreement, under which Iran agreed to limit uranium enrichment in exchange for lifting economic sanctions, writes The Guardian, translated Periscope.
On Thursday, State Department spokesman Ned Price said the US welcomed the statement.
Iran has asked the US to lift all sanctions and unilaterally return to the agreement it left in 2018. /Periscope
