The SBASK in their response has addressed the minister, urging him to be cautious of statements read as a threat.
The honoured “ministry is natural to distinguish in approach and statements on the same issues, but we are friendlyly advising you to guard against statements that are read as a threat. One that you've started repeating how many times you're reacting to our statements and commitments is: At this time when many people have lost their jobs because of the pandemic not only in Kosovo, but around the world, teachers should feel themselves lucky to be in a working relationship.”, it says, their response.
They even say that the SBASK never succumbs to blackmail or to the efforts of someone who has attempted to hurt the brilliant unity of their union.
“Minist, SBASK alerts, criticises, engages in the implementation of legitimate membership requirements, but does not blackmail or threaten, but does not give up or give in to blackmail or the efforts of someone who has tried to undermine the excellent unity of our union. We will continue to be the voice of our membership and we expect correct co-operation with the MASTATI”, said further in response.
While Minister Nagavci had said in her statement that “Unfortunately, the poor results in responsible education are also the SBASK as representatives of teachers. So it's time for work because we all have to protect the best interest in children. Threats and escape responsibilities have greatly damaged us. This should end”
SBASK's full response without interference:
Ministers beware of statements read as threats
It's natural that August has to respond to the SBASK statements on issues raised and made public, but the answer has to be based on sustainable arguments and facts, not on harsh sentences and unremitting accusations.
Your Honored Minister, you have not offered a fact under the charge that even the SBASK is responsible for “low results” in education. The SBASK has not been a founder of reforms, nor of corritorial, nor of the editors and editors of many critical school texts, nor does it declare contests or accept quartdro in education. The SBASK did not make a decision to fire pregnant workers, nor to replace them with students, when there are a lot of graduates in Kosovo who have been waiting for years to work a few days or weeks in education.
Honored SBASK Ministership Even in the years of occupation made negative sacrifices defending Albanian education even now in a time of pandemic is making constant commitments to keep the learning process longer and better against the large number of people affected by Ovidius. We even engaged and managed to find opportunities together with the institutions to free educational workers with serious illnesses, but others failed to make that agreement properly. We continue to make concrete contributions to the continued establishment of quality by encouraging and mobilizing membership and keeping training without stopping having anyone's support and to see if others are having concrete commitments in this effort.
Your Honoring Minister is natural to distinguish in the approach and statements on the same issues, but we are friendlyly advising you to guard against statements that are read as a threat. One that you've started repeating how many times you're reacting to our statements and commitments is:
At this time when many people have lost their jobs because of the pandemic not only in Kosovo, but anywhere in the world, teachers should feel themselves lucky that they are in working relationship”.
We're really proud and happy to be teachers and we're on the job and we're doing what we can to educate and educate generations, but these jobs didn't give us any for mercy and charity. You often repeat your statement as sending messages as owners of private firms that tell employees, whenever they complain rationally, that they should remain silent and feel good to be at work, that unemployed people have enough.
Minister SBASK is alarmed, criticised, engaged in implementing legitimate membership requirements, but does not blackmail or threaten, but does not give up or surrender to blackmail or the efforts of someone who has attempted to hurt the excellent unity of our union. We will continue to be the voice of our membership and expect correct co-operation with AugustI.
