Russia must pay “contom” for the bombing attack in the Czech Republic in 2014, the US said, as NATO and the EU are facing a critical “s” in diplomacy.
“The United States and our partners must protect our national interests and force Russia to pay the cost for the government's actions that exceed borders by the nations responsible”, a State Department spokesman for EUobserver has said, Klan Kosova reports.
“Sulmi was disturbing and the Allies needed to send a clear message that Russia's dangerous actions would receive the well-deserved response”, the spokesman said.
The United States also confirmed the “findings of the full and long investigation into the Czech Republic” on the explosion, which concluded that operatives from the Russian military intelligence service, GRU, caused an explosion at an ammunition depot in the town of Vrbjetic seven years ago, killing two checks.
NATO and the EU issued similar statements on the same day.
There were “reasonable changes” that the GRU made the attack, the official added after the Czech ambassador NATO briefed colleagues in Brussels on Tuesday.
