Rama from Kukes: I miss Thaci, the KLA war story was written here

“Today is truly a fantastic day for Kukes, Albania for Kosovo and all Albanian. First of all, I want to give an explanation that I've seen wondering what that name is. This airport is called the northern Zayed-Fratet because this is not only a new airport but is also a memorial site and the building of this airport is also a temple of this land, of this area, but also of this large Albanian community from Pristina to Tirana and wherever Albanians live. That's why you'll look inside the airport you'll find not only a contribution to what was the idear of the list of solidarity but also an attribute to those who were at that time the image of pain, suffering and tragedy we should never forget and the image of resistance that is part of the character of Albanians that we should never lose. There inside every stranger to come, without having to know the story, is enough to make the way from the entrance to the airport exit, and will understand and see on the walls that it has come to a land where a sacred page of Albanian history” is written, Rama has indicated.

On this day Rama also spoke of Hashim Thaci, whom he called his older brother, but also all Albanians.

In this case I want to share something that I miss very much today, someone I consider one of the biggest Albanians, and I'm sure such history will consider, I miss being one of the great Albanians, not my brother, but he's my brother because he's one of the great Albanians is Hashim Thaci. He later talked about the economic importance of the airport, saying this airport would be a friendly engine for development and future of the country.

The Kukes airport is today a new and powerful engine for further economic and social development. Today we flew from Tyre to Kukes because according to international aviation regulations, every airport from the moment it becomes operational begins as a local airport and there is a procedure that to become an international airport lasts 50-60 days and after it becomes a certificate as a”, Rama stressed.

Kukes International Airport “The northern Zayed-Frater” will have a track of two miles [2.2 km] and its observation tower, while at the location of the aircraft, it is designed to hold 3 planes simultaneously while in an hour it can launch 4 planes from Kukes Airport.

The terminal covers a Web site of 3,500 m2, has 2 entrance gates, and within it is also a museum area in memory of the Kosovo War, which was also the starting point of this airport, as a gift to the United Emirates to wait for aid to refugees.
