For this very reason, the Kosovo Assembly has announced the contest for a Constitutional Court judge.
Arta Rama-Hajriz was elected Constitutional Court in 2012 and for 9 years has been one of the institution's 9 members, writes Reporter.
Rama's term ends and she needs to be replaced. The regulation of the Constitutional Court stipulates that the <x0 selector for the mayor and for the vice president is held a month before the chairman and incumbent deputy prime minister's term is expired”.
If the post remains immediately empty, the election for the mayor should be held as soon as possible, and the deputy chairman exercises the role of interim chairman until the new chairman's term is entered into force. If there is no deputy chairman, the judge with the longest experience exercises the role of acting chairman. If one or more judges have spent the same time in the court, then the oldest judge in the age is considered the longest experienced judge in order for this rule”, says the Constitutional Court Order.
