Because of measures in force against the spread of the coronary, some of Queen Elizabeth II's relatives sat down in small family groups with children and husbands to mourn for Prince Philip.
But she sat alone and for many people who accompanied the funeral from the house -- this image of the now widowed queen, who will be 95 years old next week -- was probably the most sad image of the day, NewYork writes.
“These photos really bring home one of the terrible truths of the pandemic,” said British journalist Jane Merrick on Twitter.
“There can be no tearful hugs with family members just when you most need”, Merrick said.
