In the race for president, the Vetevendosje Movement has nominated Vjosa Osmani. Her opponent is Nasuf Bata.
The first round of voting was repeated twice, as 80 deputies, or two-thirds of the deputies, did not participate in the vote, the number needed to be considered over the first round of voting.
78, 79 MPs participated in those two votes, respectively.
Three deputies of the Democratic League of Kosovo: Avdullah Hoti, Agim Veliu and Driton Selmanaj, despite being in the hall during the vote, did not participate in the process.
According to the Constitution, in the first round of voting, at least 80 MPs must participate in the vote, otherwise the vote is repeated.
The same rule for the participation of 80 MPs applies to the second round of voting.
