From Pfizer& B NTech talking about vaccines for Kosovo

Online newspaper “Insander” has published today a research in which they say that Health Minister Arben Vitita has refused to sign the contract with the US-German company Pfizer and BioNTech to provide vaccines to Kosovo. Minister Vitita himself at a media conference has described reporting as false.
In all of this, in an exclusive response to Gazeta Express has been spoken by the Pfizer and BioNTech company, who have said they are in discussions with the Government of Kosovo to enable them to receive vaccines.
“We are in discussions with the Government of Kosovo to enable the taking of vaccines. Discussions with the Government are confidential and we have nothing to say at the moment”, Ursha Lakner said of Pfizer and BioNTech for the Express Journal, questioned about all the details reported today.
Lakner, among other things, has said the American company is committed to meeting global public health needs in terms of the vaccine supply.
“Pfixer and BioNTech are committed to helping meet the global public health need in terms of vaccine”, Lakner said.
Kosovo currently has received only 24 thousand vaccines of the type Astra Zeneca, while a second contingent from COVAX is expected to arrive in the future. Medical personnel and citizens over 80 years of age have been vaccinated so far.
