Kosovo's Parents' Council has voiced itself against measures expected to be taken today in Kosovo Government.
Through a media communiqué, this Council has stated that pregraduate education should not be closed.
According to them, the number of infected students and teachers is highly symbolic and does not affect the number of infected people at the country level.
Online teaching is failed and do not know why it will be applied. Online teaching engages parents as teachers, and that is the essence of failure because the parent cannot replace the teacher. Physical training should be maintained for a while if we don't want the curriculum to fail”, the announcement says.
The Kosovo Parents' Council has appealed to the Government not to shut down schools and to enable teaching with physical presence at school by carefully conveying the situation of maintaining physical learning in schools.
If the circumstances require closure of schools, we sit down together to consult to make common decisions and responsibilities”, the announcement says further.
Meanwhile, the measures planned for the education sector are:
16. All public and private institutions of pre-university education (from April 12th to April 18th) and all public and private university institutions from April 6th to April 18th) are obliged to organise all educational activities online. Pre-school institutions continue to operate normally, respecting measures and counter recommendations COVID-19.
17. Exception from the 16th point takes place in exams which can be held physically in all institutions of higher, public and private education, but respecting physical measures and distance and becoming group division of 10 people.
18. Convirts and menates suspend their activity from April 6 to April 18, 2021.
Nineteen. All public and private institutions of all educational levels were prohibited from organising extra-school activities, such as seizures, group strolls, different school staff parties, or students.
