According to an estimate compiled by the AFP, at least 2,917,316 people have died from COVID-19 worldwide since the virus first emerged in December 2019.
The United States is the most affected country with 561,074 deaths, followed by Brazil with 348,718, Mexico with 207,020, India with 168,436 and Britain at 127,040.
In Kosovo, meanwhile, since the beginning of the pandemic, 1,976 people from the Coronavirus have died, and in Albania 2,304.
