Capitol police reported that two of her officers were injured when a suspect crashed the car at their checkpoint.
“A suspect has been arrested. Two officers are hurt. All three were taken to hospital”, the Capitol police reported.
Videos from the scene show that a black car crashed into one of the safety points.
The incident is said to have taken place on the northeast side of the Capitol, between the main building and the Senate's offices.
