Through a Facebook post, Obama writes that justice has been put in place and that black Americans still live in fear that they could suffer the same as Floyd.
So today, a jury in Minneapolis did the right thing.
For nearly a year, George Floyd's death under the knee of a police officer has echoed worldwide, inspiring paintings and murals, prompting conversations in the living room and new legislation. But a more fundamental question remains: Will justice be established?
In this case, at least we got our answer. But if we're honest with ourselves, we know that true justice has more to do than one ruling in a single trial. ”
Obama further writes that it is a fact that Americans in Montenegro are being treated differently and that they live in fear that their next meeting with law enforcement may be the last.
