Niteman Jasharaj asks the Government to vaccinate teachers

United Education, Science and Culture Union of the Republic of Kosovo ( The USAK is asking the country's government to prioritize teachers. The first of this Nundman Jasharaj trade union, has said they have asked the Minister of Health to take first the vaccine of teachers, but according to him, the answers they received have not yet been accepted by any vaccine contingent.

“The government not to leave it in the second group but to prioritize the vaccine even at the meeting we had with Minister Vitita we opened this issue, and Minister Vitita has said that he is expecting a return of an accountant on behalf of the donation that is acceptable to Kosovo and has promised to make all commitments if he allows the possibilities and capacities in the number of vaccines that, after the elderly, as provided by manual, give priority to workers in the education sector”

Jasharaj says they are not seeking inoculation just to be privileged, but to continue the learning process at school objects.

“This requirement we didn't make it illegal, but teachers were more protected by vaccine and with this protection they'd be safer and the learning process this year we'd end up in school, so it's left to the government and opportunities that have”.

“... There was idea to ask for help from Albania and our institutions have requested but the vaccine that is acceptable to Kosovo is spent at the moment in Albania and what vaccines will come here will be a vaccine allowed by our state and we are asking for it to be among the first to be vaccinated so that we can be as protected and be in schools”, Jasharaj told EO.

Jasharaj says they have agreed with the government's decision that teachers not be vaccinated in Albania.

But as he says the vaccine in Albania would be difficult, since only in pre-school education are about 30,000 teachers committed.

“was created in Kosovo for Chinese and Russian vaccines, we have that feeling and the vaccine is voluntary and we have agreed with them that vaccines that the state of Kosovo will accept as a useful vaccine for other citizens to be a vaccine for us, because the vaccine in Albania would be more difficult because we are a very large number of employees in the education sector and teachers are hired, and we were equipped with Minister Vitita and the educators to be injected with the vaccine that will be allowed in our country, and we expect to be vac here from Kosovo, despite the will of the Albanian State, which would be difficult to engage in the process of learning, because it is only before and unless you get a vaccine to get in Albania.

As for compensation for lost hours during this school year, he has said it is seven days, but that this is in the hands of municipal education directors on how to compensate.

And we owe this school year seven days of work, which is left to the municipal level, the educational directors to make a plan, and we all agreed that seven extra days of work should be maintained and that there are ideas that some Saturdays should be worked and that there are ideas for the end of the year to be extended for several days”
