NATO member states today announced their support for Washington's decision to sanction Russia financially and expel 10 Russian diplomats.

NATO's “countries express their support and solidarity for their ally, the US, following the announcement of measures aimed at responding to Russia's destabilising activities”, the Alliance announced in a statement, the ATS reported.

“Aleates are taking action individually and collectively to strengthen the Alliance's” collective security, the statement continues.

NATO charges Russia with <x0 repeat aspects of destabilising behaviour, especially by violating the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine and Georgia and continuing to violate, disrespect and bypass the number of international obligations and commitments”.

The US government announced today a series of financial sanctions against Russia and the expulsion of 10 Russian diplomats in response to cyber attacks and interventions in the 2020 presidential elections, attributed to Moscow.
