After spring break the learning process has started today in all schools in the country. As lower cycles from 1st to 5th grade develop with physical presence in schools, lower secondary schools, and high school learning are developing online.
Minister of Education, Science, Technology and innovation ( MAKTI) Arberie Nagavci said the lesson taking place in all of the country's schools, where he said the exception takes place in a Mitrovica village and that the lesson will start tomorrow.
Nagavci said it will be analysed how the situation with the pandemic is going and that the decision for next week will be made on how the learning process will continue.
“In early education in gardens and kindergarten at zero level and in all classes 1 to 5 instruction is being developed with the physical participation of students in schools, respecting all measures recommended by competent bodies such as IKKPK and the Ministry of Health. According to information we have in the ministry, so information from the DKA today started at all schools in all the municipalities of the Republic of Kosovo except for the village of Gusavc of the Mitrovica municipality where at one of the schools will continue tomorrow, students will continue teaching at the Ismail Qemajli School and there is working today on scenario C because it has to ensure the transport of students who, according to DKA reports in Mitrovica, will be accomplished by tomorrow. On the other side for classes 6 to 9, responsible for lower high school and high school classes 10 to 12 are being conducted online and will continue this way throughout this week”, she said.
The first education said municipalities have reported that the disinfectation of all school objects has been made, as has been the decision before being reached on spring break.
As it indicated that it will be analysed by the pandemic to decide how the learning process will continue next week, Nagavci has invited all acters to engage in better results for students.
For these levels of schooling, it will be continued this week, of course, we will follow how the situation is going with the pandemic and for next week the decision will be made depending on what the recommendation from competent organs is, but also in agreement with the DKA of each municipality given the specific circumstances in each of the municipalities. While teaching according to the KKA recommendations is going without obstruction at least until this time when we are holding this conference I take advantage of this opportunity to once again call on all parties involved in the process whether it is school principals, whether parents or particularly teachers, to engage together in trying to help with public health care, physical health and mental health to ensure that we do not even leave any child behind in achieving the desired goals for results in teaching”, she said.
Minister Nagavci said how the minister has taken all measures even in terms of technology equipment to offer access to all children in online learning. She said that in addition to participating in online learning through different platforms classes from 6-9 all teaching units are broadcast through the official RTK channel and published on the ministry's official website.
As for vaccination of teachers, Nagavci said that this issue would be dealt with as priority, although he did not show when such a thing is expected to happen, said that the advantage for the vaccine will be those who have chronic and are more advanced in years.
This will be handled with priority, respecting recommendations of competent organs in view of priorities related to the inoculation of teachers. Thus, the priority will be those who may be chronically ill, those who are older than they are, and depending on the needs, will be taken into account for the inoculation of the teachers”, Nagavci said.
