In a media report, the zero level (cates and gardens) -- the preparation class that teaches in elementary schools -- and classes 1 to 5, respecting the recommendations of institutions responsible for protection by COVID-19 -- are back in class.
Full announcement:
To discuss the current situation in education and steps to be taken, a virtual meeting has been held today, attended by Minister of Education, Science, Technology and innovation Mrs. Arberie Nagavci, ministry officials and municipal education directors.
Nagavci's minister has announced education directors for further development of the education process, referring to the Government of the Republic of Kosovo's decision on new anti-COVIID-19 measures, under which from 12-16 April 2021, teaching with the physical presence of children in educational institutions will be organised for early education and primary education, including:
Zero level ( welcomes and gardens), preparing classes in elementary schools, as well as classes 1 to 5, respecting recommendations of institutions responsible for protection by COVID-19.
Meanwhile, for classes 6 to 9 from low middle schooling, as well as classes 10 to 12 from high middle education, learning will be maintained with online platforms, where proper preparations must be made for the third period of 2020/2021 school year.
The municipalities asked for an opportunity to organize learning according to the specifics and recommendations of the Task Community Forces.
The municipalities also expressed concern about withdrawing the means from the municipal budget from private funders, calling at the Koletive Count's commitment.
The other concern is that the DKAs, are failing to fulfil the prior obligations under the Master Plan for teaching under pandemic conditions, including maintenance, disinfectation and cleanliness, since the 5m-euro budget, the previous government has used it to pay additional teachers.
