At noon today there has been an armed conflict near the Green Market in Mitrovica, with one person backed up and two others wounded.
According to the Constitutional Prosecutor in Mitrovica, with the suspect there has also been an off duty police official, but according to the first information, the same one has not been committed to murder.
The following can be read from the complete communique:
Mitrovica, 17 April 2021- Mitrovica Constitutional Prosecutorship announces the opinion that around 11:30 today as a result of an instant conflict at the Green Market in Mitrovica, one person has been killed and two others have been injured, one of whom passers by.
The suspect in the case was arrested by police and detained by the prosecutor's decision.
The wounded have been sent to further treatment at Mitrovica Hospital, while the body of those killed at the prosecutor's order has been sent for autopsy at the Law Medicine Institute in Pristina.
The prosecution announces the opinion that there has been an off duty police official with the suspect, but according to the first information the same one has not been committed to murder.
The case has qualified “grave murder”, and is being investigated by the State Prosecutor in co-ordination with the Mitrovica Regional Police Investigation Unit.
