Minister Krasniqi says pandemic influence document published within 100 days

Minister of Management and Local Power Elbert Krasniqi has said supporting municipalities in the management of pandemic is a priority. He's in the “debate. Speak to Open”, said they are in communication with municipalities to see the situation and requirements in order to be helped by the central level.

“Priories have the support of municipalities for management of pandemic, so have central level support. We're in direct co-ordination. We are in co-operation with the Ministry of Health for Equipment on the essential list, we are trying to make municipalities benefit from our” budget, he said.

Krasniqi said within 100 days we will prepare a document on what needs to be worked and the impact the pandemic has had on municipalities.

“Pandemia requires special care, but we have started and within 100 days we will prepare a document about what is missing and what we should do about the impact the pandemic has left in municipalities”, he said. Krasniqi also spoke of other priorities leading the MAPL, where he cited transparency and accountability.

The open governance will be our Ministry's priority, with the aim of implementing the national open government plan. The start of local government works and national platforms aimed at increasing transparency and accountability. The reference terms will be completed in the first 100 days”, Kransqi said.

He has said the problem now is the situation with the staff, where he mentioned lack of IT, while in terms of internal staff movements, he said they could create dissatisfaction but would be regulated.

The minister also spoke of the budget issue the municipality spends in courts, which he said would be committed to not having these happen.
