A year later, things could not be different -- a record 493 billion billion people joined the list this year. The situation came from unprecedented packages for economic support. Among them are at least 40 billionaires who created assets from companies involved in the fight against pandemic, Forbes writes, the newspaper Express broadcast.
Some of them, like Moderna's chief executive, Stephanie Bancell, and the founder of the BioNTech company Ugur Sahin, became billionaires thanks to the vaccines they developed. Others became rich by producing everything, from personal protective equipment and tests to treatments with antibodies and software that help authorities organize the vaccine campaigns.
