Many Kosovar waiters are expected to cut income altogether, or even reduce considerably. More than the owners of cafes we see on television, effectively rejecting austerity measures, waiters and bartenders will suffer the new economic-political reality.
The exact number of waiters working in Kosovo restaurants, cafes or bars is unknown. However, most of us have had direct contact with many of them during the time we were in cafes, writes Periscope.
In the U.S. the average pay per hour of a waiter or waitress without including tips is slightly over $7.
In Kosovo, waiters' salaries range from 150 and 200 minimally to 250 and 300 on average. In Kosovo, however, there are no tips as big as in other countries. And even those tips that have been reduced because of overall economic damage. /Periscope
