The claim to the post, Vjosa Osmani, is expected to receive the trust of elected Kosovo Assembly deputies.

The recogniser of political issues in the country, Shkelzen Maliqi, says many MPs have reservations against Osman.

“is not representative of other parties, in this respect they have reservations, but for not going to the polls again they give them the chance, you just have to secure the quorum and in the third round to be elected”, Maliqi said of IndexOnline.

“The LDK is going from disaster to disaster. Now they may have thought a little bit and reflected in this situation. They may eventually be able to calculate that later a portion of the electorate will return to the party. She has never voted the LDK's proposals herself, she has chosen another route, but she knows if it's an irreversible”, he added further.

Maliqi says MPs are obliged to stay in the hall.

Maybe some people will vote, but that's not enough, but there are some who don't vote. But if you were in the room in the third round, maybe he'd get the vote. Kurt's after 67 and she'll win the same. Most LDK deputies will be in the hall maybe someone else PDK. And there is an obligation for the meeting that they were in the hall. So far has been the practice. MPs have been elected by free vote and have free will”, he stressed.

Maliqi cites the fact that even Osman himself was part of the LDK, many times has not supported the party's recommendations.

They're trying to turn the democratic centralism into a debate on their own, but when the decision is made, they should all be disciplined, so far there's always an incident. Vjosa herself has been one who did not vote as the party recommended, in this respect she does not deserve support, is tough”, he added.

For his part, Democratic League of Kosovo chairman Lumir Abdixhiku has announced that they have decided to participate in the parliamentary session of electing the president.

While the other two parties, the Democratic Party of Kosovo and the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo have declared they will not support Vjosa Osmani for president.
