That Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti along with the Vetevendosje Parliamentary Group with the attempt to change the Law for Elections used it as blackmail for the opposition and publicist Skelzen Maliqi says.
Maliqi says it has not been necessary to submit this law with accelerated procedure and that the same one had to be approved earlier. He says Albin Kurti's scenario has been to prevent Vjosa Osmani's vote for presidents and thus to go to elections and win even more votes.
But it stresses that it is not necessary for the country to go to the polls.
“Yes, of course, it was blackmail, there was no need to bring it to the emergency procedure, it probably had to be approved a lot earlier, but it has its own time, it has to be public discussion and to consult the diaspora itself because it's not that easy to organise elections abroad... Albin Kurti's scenario here has been unable to vote Vjosa Osmani for president even to go to the polls because he thinks that even this time he will achieve even more votes himself”, Maliqi told Kosovas.
As for the possibility of moving to new elections, Maliqi says it is unnecessary and that it can only be useful for Albin Kurti and Vetevendosje.
“There has been no need for two sets of elections for a year, there is no need to go to the elections once again, it may be useful for Albin Kurti and Vetevendosje because to achieve even a little more vote by the diaspora” he said.
