Lekaj: Document “must paper”, 24-hour monitoring for Kurti

The MP from the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo, (AAK), Pal Lekaj, says the country's institutions should not enter the analysis of the document “non paper”, for the final agreement between Kosovo and Serbia, until there is something clear from the EU. Calling the contents of that document unacceptable, opposition MP stresses he does not want [...]

In this regard, Lekaj says they will monitor the Kurti Government 24 hours and be alert for dialogue with Serbia.

Lekaj criticises the executive for delays in securing anti-Convidial vaccines 19 lack of the governing programme and the participation of Prime Minister Kurti in Albania's elections.

Give me a platform for dialogue, an analysis of how to approach Mr. Kurti. These drafts apply without”, I think we need to analyze from who they came from, it's known that in diplomacy these are not signed by governments and are not determined by which country. But we cannot enter the analysis until we have a clear document from Brussels. We as opposition will insist on not changing borders, there is no district or autonomy for the northern part, there is no association with executive competencies and here we will be alert and monitoring 24 hours”, he claims.

Former AAK minister tells Kosovo Press that Prime Minister Kurti has secondary vaccines, while wandering in Brussels.

Mr. Kurti's “priority should be the vaccination of citizens. There is no other priority. But we're seeing it as we're facing the difficulty of vaccines, Mr. Kurti doesn't see the way he's really going straight and in favor of the citizens, but he's left it as secondary and now he's walking down the hill. Brussels”, Lekaj says.

He says they are seeing nothing positive from the Kurti Government, even though it has entered the second month since taking office.

“So far we have not seen anything positively assessed (the Kurti Government). If we start with a program plan, we don't have one, we don't have an action plan. All things are getting ad-hoc and what's on the table, without any analysis. We have a case of closing the gastronomy decision that has been counterproductive, except that they've destroyed the economy more they haven't done anything good for citizens. We are not highly regarded as AAK and citizens. The other is that it has begun to affect even the poorest layer that are pensioners”, he says.

Lekaj, the vote by Prime Minister Kurti in Sunday's elections in Albania, calls it intervention in domestic issues there.

“Kosovo, as it would have been assessed. Therefore, it is a direct intervention in Albania. I think this is where he's been wrong enough and lost his time. It was seen that the citizens of Albania do not think as our prime minister and I think it has received the minimum of votes. For us as Kosovo we must accept any choice that the citizens of Albania have made and we must congratulate Edi Rama wins and the position of Prime Minister”, Lekaj declares.

Under an official visit to Brussels, Prime Minister Albin Kurti is holding meetings with top EU representatives. Meanwhile yesterday, he announced that he will not meet with Serbian President Vuciq on May 11th to resume dialogue.
