Vjosa Osmani had made a fuss when she had even placed this flag on official presidency papers, a thing that had been seen for the worse by her critics.
The flag in question was presented on October 29th 2000 by former President Ibrahim Rugova and was called “Dardania falur of”. His color was dark blue, not known what a golden ring symbolizes. Inside the red disc is an Albanian eagle. The eagle carries a ribbon with legend “dania” written, follows Periscopi.
This flag had not gained much popularity at the time. Besides the people, he had not been approved by the internationals either, and so had remained the flag of the Democratic League of Kosovo. [ Footnote] The LDK, who continue to use it to this day.
Kosovo was declared an independent and sovereign state on February 17th 2008, and Kosovo was made with a new flag waving along with the Albanian national flag to determine the state and national identity of Kosovo Albanians.
