Kurti meets EU diplomats: No dialog priority

The prime minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, along with Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Diasporas Donika Grovalla, had a virtual meeting with the leaders of European Union diplomatic missions in Kosovo today.
Kurti stressed that government priorities are justice and employment, reforming the justice system and promoting investments, but did not mention dialogue, writes Periscopi.
Meanwhile, senior EU officials have repeatedly called for the process of dialogue with Serbia to start as soon as possible.

The topic of the meeting was the Government's programme and priorities, with emphasis on the agenda of European integrations. Prime Minister Kurti thanked diplomatic representatives for the EU's discussion and support for Kosovo. He stressed that government priorities are justice and employment, reforming the justice system and promoting investments.
“We have started the first opening of justice reform with the adoption of the concept document for the seizure of unwarranted property that precedes the Vetting process in justice”, Prime Minister Kurti said. He also spoke of plans to reform public procurement in order to increase transparency for final beneficiaries.
And Minister Gervalla said she welcomes the EU's interest in dialogue, but stressed that it is important to focus on fighting pandemic, economic development and reform in justice.
Mission leaders thanked the prime minister and minister for participating in the meeting, and announced they are committed to providing vaccines against them. COVID-19 for Kosovo. They offered the EU countries' co-operation in meeting the previous reforms.
