Prime Minister Albin Kurti, together with Deputy Prime Ministers Besnik Bislimi and Donika Grovala during the official visit to Brussels, has been hosted at the meeting by Kadri Simson, European Union for Energy Commissioner.

Kurti expressed the commitment of the Government of Kosovo to improve energy efficiency and diversify energy, as well as moving towards a green economy, ensuring that our decisions are well informed and realistic.

This is the capital issue Prime Minister Kurti stressed requires broad social consensus.

Furthermore, he announced the Simpson Commission with the National Energy and Climate Plan, plans to review energy policies under the European Union directives, and the support offered to businesses promoting energy efficiency and preserve the environment.

Kosovo is part of regional co-operation in the energy sector, which the prime minister said should be based on principles of equality and inclusion.
