Prime Minister Albin Kurti has reacted following the failure of the LVV proposal for the review of the General Election Law to take place with accelerated procedure in the Kosovo Assembly.
Through a Facebook post, Kurti has said that they do not want to lead the country to a repeat election, but that it is up to the opposition.
“We can't and don't want to move the country into a new election because we want to elect the new president. Those who don't want the President's choice, those who don't love the President, who have fought against it, can take the place to elections. By their choice, they have elections in their hands: either over 80 votes in the box for Vjosa Osmani, or over 500,000 votes in the box for Movement V. It was Kurt.
At the same time, Kurti cited 500 thousand votes for VVE in the new elections, it seems he will not get those votes as votes for the president either.
