Kurti has written that Western Balkan states should be treated as future EU members.

The “Western Balkan states should be treated as future EU members. We're not even “acly” neither are “qin” because we're surrounded by the European Union. With Commissioner Varhelyi, he said this should be the EU approach for the region. I assured him of our commitment to reforms and we agreed that the EU could have alternative”, Kurti wrote.

Prime Minister Kurti is expected to complete his two-day visit to Brussels today, where he met with senior officials and European commissioners.
