Xhevat Latifi chairman of the Independent Commission for Media, has presented the institution's annual report running for 2020 to the Kosovo Parliament's Commission for Local Governance, Regional Development and Media.
Today during the report on the parliamentary commission for the media chairman of the Independent Commission for Media (KPM), Xhevat Latifi has demanded that, in the new KPM law or its ratification, the issue of online media be included that, according to him, should be introduced into the KPM. “We witness a toxic state of media promotion in Kosovo”, he has said.
It has been made known, Imer Mushkolaj, executive director of the Kosovo Council of Written Media ( KMShK)
“Viewing it as a dangerous initiative and attempting to violate media freedom, the KMSHK office tomorrow during the day will prepare an official letter for the respective institutions to give up this initiative and not support it. The response will take place in co-operation with the Association of Kosovo Journalists (AGK). Please provide some space in your media on this case”, Mushkolaj said.
