Kosovo theologian criticises religious leaders: They're making a mistake legalizing “copy-pass”

Some religious leaders in Kosovo are making mistakes until they misrepresent what they have heard and learned by scholars of Arab countries, and for this the religious leaders must be cautious and BIK must exercise control over religious legalisation.

So considers theologian Jabir Hamiti, who in an interview with the news.net, among other things, spoke about the way we legalize religious gatherings.

While Islam on the spiritual side is linked from the east, Hamiti has said that during legalisation, religious leaders should keep in mind that on the part of the social adjustment, Albanians are oriented to Europe.
There are those who are unfortunately not conscious and I believe that they will be aware over time that the teachings of scholars are not taken, whoever they are, in the general world and Islam and are not practicing stereotypes in individual circles and environments. We live and share our neighbourhood with many different peoples of different religions. Our political and geographical orientation is clear, we are politically oriented in religious terms, as I have repeated before, we are related to birth because even the most major, monotheistic religions are related to birth, such as hebraism and Christianity. Islam is linked to the spiritual birth of faith. But the practical aspect of regulating social life and life regulation is Albanian-oriented to Brussels, to Europe and European integration, towards establishing democratic values and freedom of expression, freedom of trust. These must be elements of every religious leader”, he said about news.net.

Hamiti has been adding to the dissolving sermons of knowledge taken by various Islamic scholars, as he considered it wrong.

I think there have been and there have been mistakes made by certain individuals, trying to take over a piece of money or in a symbolic way to present the opinions of a part of Islamic world scholars in general in our country, which are not compatible and appropriate in the circle in which we live. Palma may look like a decorator to us but does not bear fruit. We are oriented in time and space, and we experience religion and belief in God to serve the country, the circle, the society and the general human well-being”, he stressed.

According to him in case the legalisation limits are exceeded, leaving the core, until he has underlined that if it is released from the core among other things, it is due to the impact of any political-religious movement.

“God instructs man to be good, to be respectful to all, not to offend, not to hurt anyone, not to violate anyone's freedom, always to be solid, to be close, to be integration, not to be exclusive. After all, people in general, regardless of color, nation, race, belong to a creator and God is the creator of humans. Since we belong to a God and the moment we respect man, regardless of who he is, we also respect God. There is no war against humans in the name of God. The moment you fight in God's name, then you fight against God. That's what it should be about religious leaders and legislates. The focus and orientation should be in this direction, or the moment you get out of this nucleus, then you're not alert, or you're ignorant, or you're influenced by some political-religious movement, which may be external and aimed at achieving aspirations or goals, whatever the local or international”, he noted.

He has said that religious leaders should be cautious during their discourses and take care of their public word.

The religious dedication of any religion is a public word, and everyone should have that care for what he says. The moment the legalization of religious leaders, including mosques, has public character and the character of the public word has responsibilities. Therefore, all religious leaders everywhere, including Islam, should be discreet to be careful about whom they are addressed, what cultural and intellectual level, what degree of mass, and what are the specifics of that people and that country. The moment you became religious leaders, you don't know the country, the environment, the cultural and intellectual degree of people, not that you gave them something good, but you caused that society, that circle of people, the division, the division, and the confusion, because they are unable to understand an external culture or cultural element that you try to religiousize in your country, he said.

After that, as the form of control Hamiti said BIK should make awareness of religious leaders through seminars.

I consider that the main action each religious community has to do, including BIK, in relation to their religious leaders is their awareness, keeping regular awareness seminars monthly, two months out of the month or year, to guide and make them aware. Much of them study abroad, and when they come from abroad, they think that it must also be done here to go in the form and way of religious preaching they have learned there and that it can never be similar and productive in our country under certain circumstances. Therefore, religious institutions, leaders of religious institutions are responsible for being part of the main, central, community institution, such as Muslim, Catholic, or Orthodox. For the sake of maintaining unity and general social interest, consider these three elements - the time factor, the circumstance, and the intellectual factor of people” - he has said.
