The large crowd gathered at the centre of Tel Aviv for the concert, held in solidarity with Albanian refugees who fled from fighting in Kosovo.
More prominent Israeli artists attended the concert. They said they had raised more than half a million U.S. dollars. Many of the donations were collected at a mobile bank stationed at the concert site.
Israeli soldiers have been leading a 100-bed hospital on the Macedonian border to treat refugees who fled the Kosovo conflict since NATO began shelling Serbia.
