Following the deputies, Appeals Judge Nehat Idrizi alarmed the QUINT ambassadors, including US, Great Britain, Germany, France, that the country's election after April 5th is unconstitutional. The country has been without president since its visit to The Hague as it is being led by taskkeepers, which the country's constitutional grants a limited time mandate.
The now-known candidate for the country's president, Nezhat Idrizi, has been addressed with an information letter to international offices accredited in Pristina, or ambassadors of five key states. Yesterday, he also wrote to the deputies of the Parliament. In his specific letter, Idrizi has expressed his concern over that the constitutional deadlines for electing the president are nearing completion, and that conclusion, he has based on the country's Constitution. According to Article 86 paragraph 2 of the Constitution, the question is taxed that, “the president's election should take place no later than 30 days before the end of the current president's mandate. ”
Referring to the current situation, Idrizi has underlined the fact that recent political developments in the country, debates and attitudes of some relevant factors have confirmed and strengthened their goal of electing a party president, who will be a factor of unity. In my opinion, he wrote in his letter Idrizi, this goal is objective and realistic, and that this is not happening precedent or obligation, but because of the role and integrity of the President's figures.
I as the candidate for this post, I assess that no concrete action has been made so far for electing the president. We are in the deadlines and, after April 5th, the election of the president may be non-religious. The country, could enter a new political crisis with irreparable consequences already, cannot only define a future electoral crisis. The consequences will appear and will have negative impacts (for society and country), and in many other areas”, he has also assessed Idriz in his letter.
In the end, Idrizi has let the Qutin embassies know that, as a consensual candidate, he is confident that institutions will respect the constitutional deadlines for the president's election and that, jointly, they will work to avoid any eventual crisis in this direction.
